About The Series
My name is Kevin "Lethal" Rosenblatt, and I'm the author of Lethal's Guide to Playing Competitive CS Volumes 1 and 2, and the co-author of Selected Topics for Competitive Players. These guides are based off my actual competitive CS experience (over 5 years) including 4 seasons of CAL-Invite and CPL play as well as various other prestigious leagues and teams.
Volume 1 has sold thousands of copies world-wide since its release in early 2005. It has helped countless players improve their game, and continues to teach the fundamentals of Counter-Strike to players every single day. It was written during my time in Complexity (after my time in GB and e7), while giving private lessons for their COTA lesson system. Volume 1 is geared towards the beginning to intermediate competitive CS player.
Last year I released my sequel to Volume 1, Volume 2 for short, as a continuation of it's predecessor. This guide delves into some of the more advanced concepts of the game, and is geared toward the intermediate to advanced player.
The newest CS Guide installment, Selected Topics, is geared towards any player of virtually any skill level as it deals with topics that anyone can relate to. The main focus of the guide is social connections, and how to use them to move up the competitive CS (1.6 and Source) ladder. It is co-authored by Team 3D member and former leader, Dave "moto" Geffon, who has competed at as well as won several major Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments.
